Providing support for Single Parents
Henry Wang founded the Single Parent Advisory Network (“SPAN”) in 2021 in dedication to his father who raised him as a single parent.
Growing up Henry saw the importance of the support his father received from others. As he thought about ways to give back, he realized that the biggest struggle for many single parents is navigating financial choices. So, he created SPAN as a network to help single parents with their personal finances.
How can you help?
Given the significant challenges single parents face, we decided to start the Single Parent Advisory Network in order to help single parents get access to personal finance resources and coaching.
What we're hoping to provide:

One-on-one sessions with financial advisors and coaches to discuss general personal finance / financial planning

Q&A forum where single parents can ask financial questions and have them answered by personal finance experts

Annual virtual round table where we discuss personal finance topics and do Q&A with a panel of certified financial advisors
How you can help:

Offering pro-bono financial planning sessions where you would have a conversation with a single parent to provide guidance and to answer general questions

Helping answer questions on our Q&A forum on an ad-hoc basis
